Mrs Shakespeare, gripes
' Your pen has admirable addictions '
writes Will's goodwife ' for a batchelorship,
you clutch tight, employment's invitation,
me? Mere kitchenwenched to your brats, gossiped
By fly-bitten lewdsters, my name besmirched
in Shottery, birthplace of Susanna,
you may mind, when we were but six month wed!
I've tried honeytonguing you and pander
But, still inlawed here, cramped, far from homely.
I've eyed a house in Chapel Street, Stratford
with roadways to lead to Academe,
the twins, 'fore their squabbling has me hell-born.
Come Will let us not be at loggerheads
But, hie ye home to test our brand new bed...

These rhymes could be named
para rhymes or eye rhymes. Where
only part of the word fits the description
of rhyme. For example the 'or ' in Stratford
and the 'or ' in born. And the 'ed' in
Besmirched and the 'ed' in wed.
But how to get an iambic pentameter line
I've no Idea other than counting syllables.
And your Maid of Orleans, Joan of Arc came
across loud and clear without the title.

The lizard king; the just flair of the mind
Where the depth of his words are salacious
stark wisdom designed; he’s one of a kind
Lest his gait be marked wild and gracious
Leather adorned with a skeletal husk
His voice cleansed in the game of foretelling
Nectar in musk, psychedelics by dusk
Crystal ships break the waves that are swelling
Where the people are strange and the fires, alight
Vain riders on the storm of persuasion
American night; the fanciest plight
Glazed gains in immaculate quotations
Babylon fading in black polished chrome
Where angels and sailors gorge on his poem

" The rule sounds quite simple, yet halfway through trying to proof it, I still get lost in the weeds..every time.
" Iambic pentameter is a rhythmic pattern in poetry that consists of ten syllables, with stress on every other syllable." "

The above iambic pentameter thingy might only mean something
to whoever invented it. A bit of hijacking and invention by someone
who thought up the word ' prosody ' It is probably a con and
perpetrated by those who can't do so they teach instead and
others, who wish to seem knowledgeable. Imho.
In writing I listen to my ear and count and listen.
Speaking just for myself.
I refuse to be confused by rules. I ignore them lol.

I remain unconvinced that "meter" is particularly applicable to English, and I cite the Bard's famous Act 3, scene 2, Hamlet quote of "trippingly on the tongue" as being better advice, albeit a more vague advice.
I suspect Shakespeare was referencing his vast acoustic stage experience wherein he no doubt took note of utterances with a more complimentary distribution of select phonemes as being more audience comprehendible than utterances which were not so considered prior to their utterance.

Each a verse form of cathexis selfie
where Shakespeare linked his ink with how to think
about what we would call psychology
packaged as an Elizabethan shrink
in a pre-Freudian disposition
pre-empting any Oedipal complex
or too withal awkward disquisition
in the canon days of renaissance sex
when fretfulness was as much troth plighted
as syphilis by an alehouse knave
or a wench to see a knighthood blighted
until nullified by a churchyard grave...
as their sliding pain and pleasure scale
also brought them to little avail.
