Poetry Contest Description
Write 6-syllable lines/sentences, ending with a 3-syllable rhyme, with the given vocabulary below, that uses the same syllable stress/emphasis on the 2nd syllable. Att/EN/tion. Aff/EC/tion.. Example: The lack of att/en/tion. A backwards aff/ec/tion.
There must be 4 lines/sentences per stanza, each line/sentence being 6-syllables, and ending in the same syllabic parameter of rhyme. 32 total lines, 8 stanzas. Here is a list of vocabulary to make it easier to carry the rhyme scheme:
Attention, Intention, Detection, Conception, Discretion, Connection, Reflection, Impression, Suggestion, Perception, Dimension, Complexion, Expression, Affection, Direction, Inflection, Extension, Contention, Inspection, Progression, Inception, Aggression, Objection, Rejection, Deflection, Projection, Digression, Suppression, Deception, Obsession, Exception, Perfection, Subjection, Succession, Retention, Suspension, Reception, Oppression, Pretension, Possession, Exemption, Correction, Ascension, Confession, Protection, Prevention, Invention, Perplexion, Digestion, Convention, Infection, Injection, Descension, Concession, Redemption, Selection, Election, Regression, Ingestion, Symmetrics, Systemic, Incessant, Percentage, Impended, Relentless, Tremendous, Adventure, Agenda, Endeavor, Sequester, Exemplar, Dilemma, Engender, Vendetta, Conjecture, Momentum, Remember, Dependent, Predestined, Resplendent, Regretted, Detected, Defected, Neglected, Detested, Pretended, Demented, Rebellious, Defenses, Offensive, Resentment, Presented, Repentance, Replenished, Siesta, Accepted, Assessment, Aesthetics, Mimetic, Kinetic, Attempted, Magnetic, Electric, Frenetic, Eclectic, Eccentric, Prolepsis, Genetic, Forensics, Hermetic, Synthetic, Prophetic, Majestic, Poetic, Assemble, Sequential, Begettal, Potential, Especial, Essential, Credentials, Perspective, Angelic, Pathetic, Incentive, Dyslexic, Expensive, Embezzle, Affected, Effective, Requested, Investment, Indented, Intensive, Imbedded, Amended, Athletic, Upended, Appendix
As you can see, there are plenty of words to work with. The point is to carry a rhyme scheme, which is 8 stanzas long, and 4 lines per stanza, without switching up or changing the syllabic parameter of the rhyme.
Example: Exemplar, symmetric? Direction progress. Aesthetics, dimensions? Relentless impression.
That is 4 lines/sentences, in what would be 1 stanza. Write 8 total stanzas, with 4 lines/sentences each, 6-syallble in length, using 3-syllable words that are from that list, or rhyme with it. You can also do this:
The hexes, projection? Ahead is aggression. A jesting subjection? Inept in intention.
As you can see, I broke down the first 3 syllables of the rhyme scheme to make separate words. As long as it carries the syllabic parameter of rhyme scheme, and/or rhymes with the words on this list, you can use separate words. Just make sure to end every line/sentence with whole 3-syllable words that rhyme.

Sycamore leaves
Whispers call the night's allure.
Stars above pure and sure.
Dreams take flight, hearts endure,
silent woods of paths obscure.
Gentle waves kiss the shore,
lost in time, myths of yore.
Sailors seek the ocean's core,
Legends live forevermore.
Mountains high in eagles soar,
Winds of fate softly roar.
Nature's gifts, an open door.
Life's design at its core.
Sunset's glow in colors pour,
evening's peace, who could ignore.
Shadows dance, light's encore,
night descends, moon's adore.
Fields of gold, grains galore,
harvest moon in farmers swore,
bounty rich from the store,
winter's chill, nears the door.
Crystal flakes on winter's floor.
Fireside tales of no folklore.
Warmth within spirits soar
together close bonds restore.
Springtime blooms, life's restore.
Rivers rush are to explore.
New beginnings, hearts implore.
Nature's cycle evermore.
Summer's heat children's roar,
laughter rings spirits soar.
Days of joy, hearts adore,
memories made forevermore.
Stars above pure and sure.

Good job at carrying what's known as a rhyme scheme from beginning to end. The rhyming syllable stress/emphasis counts for 1 syllable. I asked for 3.

Wicked Evicted
Never quite contented
memories segmented
reverence lamented
facades were invented
Innocence neglected
unsafe and tormented
fearfulness augmented
dread firmly cemented
A devil descended
images redented
pure evil detected
a presence detested
Advances unwanted
a trauma untreated
the terrors repeated
claiming space unrented
Survival intended
from what is demented
such cruelty dissented
abuse not consented
Few options presented
invasion contended
endurance unrested
resilience ascended
Brawling the perverted
steadfast and invested
viciousness eluded
wickedness evicted
History regretted
alone not protected
you never repented
no remorse presented

Yes, words can be pluralized. The main theme and focus is to carry the syllable scheme and structure the whole way through 8 stanzas. @ slipalong.

I apologize for any inconveniences or confusion, but this is more of what I'm looking for, on a technical scale:
Momentous attention.
Assembled conception.
Reflected complexion.
Extended expression.
Poetic succession.
Aesthetics connected.
Detected impression.
Presented dilemma.
Synthetic inspection.
Deceptive reception.
Projected subjection.
Pretentious obsession.
Prolepsis perplexes.
Discretion defected.
Regressive retention.
Effective resentment.
Lamented affection?
Prevented digression.
Rejected oppression.
Remembered intention.
Ascended selection.
Prophetic acceptance.
Majestic dimension.
Angelic Symmetrics.
Resplendent suggestion.
Replenished redemption.
Tremendous perception.
Endeavored direction.
Kinetic progression.
Predestined repentance.
Corrected confession.
Perfected protection.

Syllable
Never my intention
Crazy sad endeavour
And this sad rejection
Thinking strange dilemma
Misery dejection
From her soul magnetic
This my love obsession
Making me frenetic
All years my attention
Thoughtful thoughts assemble
For rose of perfection
Actions be especial
Into my possession
Her heart I affected
Like a sweet infection
Then we were connected
Decent to deception
Lies they had potential
But step to redemption
To count sins sequential
This be my confession
From my own perspective
Path to a remission
This may be subjective
Never had contention
It's hard to remember
kindly cute deflection
Cut me in September
No thought of aggression
Man I must resemble
Friendship best retention
Never to dissemble
Crazy sad endeavour
And this sad rejection
Thinking strange dilemma
Misery dejection
From her soul magnetic
This my love obsession
Making me frenetic
All years my attention
Thoughtful thoughts assemble
For rose of perfection

A poet’s nightmare (Poem 6 syllables per line incorporating those suggested in the brief list)
Intentions direction
Did cause, apprehension
Possessive affection
To make an impression
I saw just perfection
Was I the exception?
Potential contending
For romance unending
Wrong side of discretion
Exposed my intention
Suppression frenetic
Investment synthetic
Embezzled possession
Tomorrows contention
Holds a Replenished torch
Endeavour takes its course
Suspended feelings
Begettal now kneeling
My lonely Incessance
Bereft of a presence
Deflected Momentum
Pathetic my outcome
Perplexation paled and numb
Expression unbecomes
Demented direction
Seeking that connection
Dilema poses questions
Face complète rejection
Vain foolish fantasies
Stargazing finality
Agenda dispensing
Of love unrelenting

@slipalong - good job at trying to carry the scheme. It's more difficult than it seems, isn't it?
