I’ve been thinking about something. It’s Pride month. I’m noticing an absence of rainbows and such. So I contacted some of my local LGTBQA+ folks, and they all said they KNOW the struggle of our black, brown, (not white) friends and family. Right now, there is something more important going on in America. Those that normally would be shouting “Happy Pride Month!” are now shouting “Black Lives Matter!”

Does BLM clean house?

I Am A Person Too
Lighter skins, I now refer,
not human beings since we're blacks to you.
Am I not worthy of the air you breathe?
Do you see less than nothing when you look at the colour of my skin?
Why must I ask your permission to be alive,
When we were all made from the same matter
and red blood flows through our veins.
If you cut do you not bleed?
Does it not hurt?
Can you not feel?
Am I not worthy to walk with my head held high?
Maybe give my children a chance of a happy life?
Why must we teach our sons to submit, remove their crowns and bow down to anyone but God?
Why must we teach our daughters to hide in the shadows, cover their crowns and believe that they are not beautiful?
When everything God made was in the image and likeness of him.
Why must we please you, lighter skins?
Why do you fear our strength in numbers?
When we only fight for the things that’s right
Such as mankind
and human kindness.
Is it too much to ask that we coexist together
on this earth made for all of us
or would you rather we walk the plank,
dive into a great abyss of darkness never to exist?
no matter how many of our kings and Queens are killed,
Our blood will continue to flow through the earth and through you,
Whether it runs on the streets, when we’re buried, we create the fertile soil that feeds you
I call it your privilege.

https://georgiastatesignal.com/blexit-atlanta-why-black-americans-are-leaving-the-democratic-party/
Tyler Moore, a Georgia State student and treasurer for Turning Point GSU, the Georgia State chapter of Turning Point USA, felt that black people are forced to be Democrats and Blexit allows them to think differently.
“Many blacks that vote Democratic are actually conservative,” Moore said. “Blexit allows blacks to say that if these aren’t your values, you should be able to vote a different way.”
Blexit and its connections to Turning Point has been the subject of intense controversy, especially for its strong support of President Donald Trump, despite a long history of allegations of racism against him

Woke to No Privilege - Seal the Divide
An author originally
from Africa, like me
by privilege of her
more toned skin
announces as fact
what I think
and says she’s black to me
just because of my skin
with even more
accusing questions
delusional to my mind
stereotyping me
with impunity
What vile person defames me
to say that I make her
beg to survive?
Do I really see her audience?
Do you?
You who oppress me
with words sent
...to another
She speaks a truth
multiple ways
as an angel of light
So I answer my angel
I say
I am black
my sister
and long ago
we shared mothers
It is no privilege
to be met
with stony disdain
on any side
Bigotry wounds
the core
of everyone

I AM Black to Destroy Privilege and Honor My Human Ancestry
No one shall separate me
from my sisters
Not dispersion
nor cold winters
Not harsh opinion
Not the cursed
Seeds of “color”
Defying our one
human parentage
Honor thy Fathers
and Mothers
Who birthed
you in Africa

Trying to distract attention away from opinions you disagree with - this will always backfire because the lack of self control demonstrated prevails.
People recognize the difference between a genuine interest expressed in a subject and a compulsive need to drown out the opinions of others for whatever personal reason disguised as a semblance of debate.

HOW COME
there is no group demanding
that those Africans in Africa
WHO'S FOREFATHERS
Ripped apart whole family's
Murdered
those who fought back
and the ones
who survived
SOLD
IN TO SLAVERY
should they not
bend the knee
and say sorry

This article is three-years old, and the final part of a very eye-opening series; however, more pertinent than ever today.
The backlash against Black Lives Matter is just more evidence of injustice
This article is the last in the Black Lives Matter Everywhere series, a collaboration between The Conversation, the Sydney Democracy Network and the Sydney Peace Foundation. To mark the presentation of the 2017 Sydney Peace Prize to the Black Lives Matter Global Network, the authors reflect on the roots of and responses to a movement that has re-ignited a global conversation about racism.

it is our past
that chases the present
and our present
is slowly
slipping back
into the same old circle
of misery and pain
where I am stronger
so what you love
and what you have
I claim
