This thread was intended to be a thread to combat the faux news and claims so prevalent, particularly across social media. And, while mainstream media has their own personal agenda, not everything they report is faux or sensationalized, particularly human interest stories.

There is an alternative thread for poetry and personal opinion without accompanying links.
