A Steady Drive

What’s the meaning of all this?
This happiness, this suffering,
This bustling life and puzzling questions,
Like the old famous expression,
Who am I and why am I here?

Why are some meant to live in poverty and fear?
While others enjoy abundance year after year?
Is it in the cards we’re dealt even before the beginning?
When some are meant to lose while others keep winning?

Life’s not fair to those whose misfortunes come every day,
While some struggle but eventually find their way,
It’s a web of happenstances and what you find in it,
Regardless of the circumstances, make the best of it.

But the meaning of life is a different definition to every one of us,
Whether it’s to be pushed to the limits or have someone shove us,
Whether to die a happy ending or have an ordinary existence,
But goddamn it, we have to have endurance and persistence.

Life’s a compilation of occurrences,
Without guarantees or assurances,
A network of information and what you choose to do with it,
Use it to your advantage or waste away the day and lose it,
Making the better choices so you can live life to the fullest,
Otherwise you’ll constantly be sweating fucking bullets,
So quit the bullshit!
People with less have gone on to accomplish great things,
While others have lost so much and still have everything,
So learn to take the punches even when life will make you twitch,
Or else the school of hard knocks will make you a little bitch!
(Breath…)

Regardless of your creed or faith or whatever you believe,
It’s not difficult to envision whatever you want to achieve,
The meaning of life is constant search with determination,
Your purpose,
A steady drive to arrive at your dreamed destination.
