Whoever the three are ( don't know any Gabriel ), they blew their chance at fessing up in public.
Shame on you rat bastards for faking cancer. You suck balls.
Glad this is all taken care of.

I'll say a thanks too, to Craic, Webmiss & everyone else who helped with the situation. It was indeed a sad day as Craic said, and to add to what's been said about knowing who you're talking to, revealing stuff to, etc.: on the flip side, for those out for a little mischevious fun, out for deception or even trolling to the point of triggering the need for legal action--think twice. You don't know who you're hurting, what you're triggering or setting in motion, and maybe you don't care, but it still makes you not only the asshole, but also the hair around it, when you partake in such behavior.
I don't think we know yet if this is fully resolved but while Craic was manning the helm here, I spent all afternoon and evening yesterday, on Facebook, trying to talk Gabe down off the ledge. I sincerely hope it worked because he doesn't deserve to be made to feel the way he does right now as does anyone else who is a victim of online antics such as we've seen here.
Grow up or get off our website if you can't be a positive, productive member.
Craic, you need that medal, not me, and just a closing remark, if anyone finds activity done with their account that you know you didn't do yourself, report it and make sure you change your password immediately in case someone hacked your profile.

Hey Lily_Mae. I missed this post.
It is a very complex thing especially as European and American laws differ and Google are the data controllers, they are the ones who actually provide the information via search engines. Slander and legal facts are different and if the links, words in question have been removed in a reasonable time span then DU are not at fault, whereas Google can be requested to de-list links if someone does not want something made public, the people affected just have to ask them and more often than not they will remove them. There are a lot of legal ropes to hack through if something is taken to court. It's easier just to go to google and have them removed.
There is information about all of us on google, including our phone numbers and addresses, these days you can find out a lot about anyone by just googling their name. So if anyone does not want their information out there, just google your name, find out what is public and see if you can get it removed. You can also google images/photos to check if anyone is falsely using your face.

OUTSIDE OF DUP COMPETITION
Sponsored by: RATTLE PUBLISHING
Website: www.Rattle.com
Contest Deadline: Jan 15, 2017
Winner: $2,000 + 500 Rattle Book Printing Copies
Entry Fee: $20 (for 1 year membership)
For the 2017 Rattle Chapbook Prize
1) The $20 entry fee is a one-year subscription to Rattle (or a one-year extension for subscribers) at our regular rate. New subscriptions will start with the next season’s issue. Current subscribers will receive a one-year extension. Due to shipping costs, international entries through Submittable will receive a 0.75-year subscription (three issues) instead of the full year.
2) One winner, judged by the editors of Rattle in a blind review, will receive $2,000 and 500 author copies of their chapbook, which will also be distributed to all of Rattle‘s 7,000+ subscribers along with the Fall 2017 issue of the magazine.
3) Open to writers, worldwide; poems must be written in English (no translations). Individual poems may be previously published, but the manuscript as a whole must be unpublished as a collection. Do not include any poems that have been published in Rattle—if the chapbook includes poems that we have published, they may be added back before publication, but we cannot consider them during the blind review of this contest. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but we must be notified immediately if the manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere, either by adding a note to your entry (under the “Activity” tab in Submittable), or by phone or email if submitting by post.
4) Manuscripts may be 15 – 30 pages of poems (not include front- or back-matter), with any reasonable fonts or font sizes (12 pt, etc.). Do not include any identifying information within the manuscript itself. If submitting in hard copy, include a cover sheet with your contact information the title of the manuscript—do not include a cover sheet if using Submittable. If any of the poems have been previously published, include an acknowledgments page. A table of contents and page numbering are nice, but optional.
5) Multiple entries by a single poet are accepted, however each manuscript must be treated as a separate entry, each with an additional $20 fee. Each additional entry will add an extra year to your subscription. Contest entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be edited after submission, so please be sure to submit only your final versions of the poems.
6) The winner will be announced on April 15, 2017. Depending on the number of entries received (and thus program funding), additional manuscripts may be offered publication and distribution under terms to be negotiated. In 2016 we chose four chapbooks for publication as part of the series. Unpublished individual poems from the manuscripts may also be offered standard publication in Rattle.
7) Entries may be submitted electronically through Submittable, or in hardcopy within the United States. International entries must be submitted by Submittable. Please note that we’re no longer accepting email entries—all electronic entries must come through Submittable.
Visit RATTLE.COM to submit via online or via hard copy by mail.
