Fracture
You hurt me
I am on the retreat
Within myself
The only corridor in which no one can follow
Hiding in the furthest recess of solitude
Spirit stripped to native nudity
No sharp edges
To fray this tender endoskeleton
I curl up into a ball
Rolled up into a corner
Strangely enough
I find myself sucking on my thumb
In a fetal position
Shrinking
My face growing ever younger
Aged chiseled definitions melting backwards in time
Shape giving way to softness
Surfaces refreshed by forgotten innocence
Smaller
I
Fade
Into an embrio
Then I no longer exist
In your
Life
I am on the retreat
Within myself
The only corridor in which no one can follow
Hiding in the furthest recess of solitude
Spirit stripped to native nudity
No sharp edges
To fray this tender endoskeleton
I curl up into a ball
Rolled up into a corner
Strangely enough
I find myself sucking on my thumb
In a fetal position
Shrinking
My face growing ever younger
Aged chiseled definitions melting backwards in time
Shape giving way to softness
Surfaces refreshed by forgotten innocence
Smaller
I
Fade
Into an embrio
Then I no longer exist
In your
Life
