One day I swear
Naked
Open
Tell all I care
Behind the curtain
Reveal
Unleash
Loosen all burden
Just let go
Yell
Shout
Dine on crow
Speak opinions
Truth
Emotion
Kill the minions
Dance fat lady, dance!

the rhyme scheme is so unique for my eyes I didn't even realize it was there until a second reading!
Also intrigued that you have the fat lady dancing rather then singing

An intriguing image, forever_young! Really feels like freedom of both, body and mind :-).

Thanks for reading Miss C. I can't imagine you ever have a problem speaking your mind. I envy woman that have a strong voice and a true sence of self. You/these woman do our gender proud.

Oh, well ... in the meantime I have a problem NOT to speak my mind! Abused and muzzled as a child, the man I'm still in love with (for 40 years now) taught me how to stand my ground and fight for myself. He let me grow strong. Not all people like that. Being tiny with blond curls people underestimate me and sometimes get angry since I'm not the victim they probably expect but armed with a sharp tongue.
You can do that, forever_young. Straighten your back, stand your ground, speak up so they have to see and hear you!

Your man sounds like what real men should be. Supportive, respectful and invested in their partners happiness. I grew up in a home where material objects were tokens of affection and took the place of parental guidance and nurturing. Afraid to voice discontent or cause confrontations because it might give my parents more reason to spend the little time they gave me to be even less.
My voice is growing stronger every day thanks to a strong supportive man and my decreasing fear of saying no.
