Rainy With a Chance of Hope
This is where my story starts
Where pains subside,
And laughs begin.
Tested emotions erratic like a caged hen
I look at the horizon searching for the bigger picture
Lost out in sea with nothing but sharks around waiting for my fall,
Or waiting for my reign
My hopes to succeed and plant the forgiving tree’s seed ahead of me
My inspirations inspired by the others pain that’s undesired
The power to heal gives you the power to steal,
People’s hearts
In fair bay area where I lay my scene,
My new and old struggles break...

Papa Papa
Papa papa look at the sky!
I see the sky honey
Papa can you see the birds that can fly?
Can you see my imaginations that runs wild?
Papa papa look what I can do!
Cart wheels and front flips
Karate chops and front kicks
Papa papa can you hear the sound of me playing?
Perfecting melodies like a perfect saying
Squeaking and learning from my mistakes
Smiling proud even through those first sounds gave you a headache
Papa papa look I’m taller than you
I took my first college class just to impress you
I was sure hard but...
I see the sky honey

Am I Woman Enough?
Yes, control me
Old white men make laws on what I can do with my body
Planned Parenthood threatened when I have a lumps in my breast
My stomach hurts, I can’t stop cramping
Constant bleeding, I’m trying to get pregnant
Too much stress
Miscarriage
Am I woman enough?
Society judges the stretch marks on my stomach and *ss
Is it not fat enough?
Is my waist not thin enough?
Are my eyebrows on fleek?
Oh look, there’s a free trial on diet pills

Shall I submit to what a man says?

Silent Cry
I hate it when people complain about the simple things
Oblivious to other types of people's pain
I always thought this was a game
But even Mario experiences that numbing pain.
That pain is what the monsters gain.
The rivalry between body and mind
is what the monsters eat, shit, and cry
That horrible numbing pain
is only a silent cry
of what monster I might see tonight.

Those tears are real
And the feeling kills
The contemplation of emotion is a hard concept.
How do you truly feel?
You block your emotions like your made of steel.

Dangerous Thinking
Just thinking is dangerous
My brain tells me,
Your worthless, no one loves you
I'm trying to show my emotions
Maybe the hot dripping red tears on my arm
Will help me feel
But will it help?
Each cut is my anger, my guilt, my sorrow
Each cut is a release
But is it really?
Is anything leaving me?
Yes
Is my warm heart, it's turned cold
Its become a war
This war is all in my mind
This war is a battle of life and death
My brain tells me,

Naive
All I am is turned around
I don't know where to go
All I am is confused
I am like an airplane
Strong but delicate
One wrong move and I crash
There is a place I have been hiding in
I haven't shown who I really am
I'm afraid of what others will think
What will they say?
This place is a closet
Dark and scary
There is a small crack
A small light
I have only personally told a few
And thousands behind a computer
I feel naïve
Not knowing what to do
How to do it
People tell me it takes years to learn...
I don't know where to go
