poet Anonymous

loving somebody is easy, the hard part is much more complicated

I saw a raging debate last week concerning a statue in a park commemorating soldiers who fought in Vietnam. there were two children playing on the statue, and it was said the parents of the children should instill a bit of respect into the children.  given the sordid details of goings on in Vietnam, do you think that young children should be proud of the 20 year war ?

I don't think any war is anything to be proud of, but depending on the particular situation, a war could be revered as "necessary" for what it attempts to accomplish or for what outcome is desired.  If pride should be a factor, then we should be proud of those who have gone willingly and also unwillingly, to fight wars, regardless of the cause, or who started it, or the motives behind it.  I have a great respect for anyone having participated in wars.

How would you spend your time, and what would you do, if you were leader/King/President of a country for a day?

I see a bunch of rhetoric depending on where you stand on the issue, both can be valid!

should we interfere with nature ie try save species that are dying out ?

poet Anonymous

That depends...

Are those species dying out because humans have become the worlds most efficient parasite?

perhaps, but that's still nature. we humans are still part of the animal kingdom,  we're not special and in a lot of ways are inferior to most animals. point being, shit happens, it's been happening since it started

what do you think is our role within the confines of nature, or do you think we are outside the confines of nature ?
