My breakthrough in poetry came when a woman who owned a theater told me that this world was so boring because everyone wore masks. We play unaffected by the world around us, walking through streets and moments with the same blank face. My philosophy on life is that acts of art and emergencies are the two moments in which we finally take off our mask. One day, I hope to write enough that I never need a mask again.
