Poet Introduction
I don't feel like a poet. I empty a burden on my mind in one sitting most of the time and I just call it poetry because that is the label that fits it best.
About Me
Read Full
What about me should I really say here? I'm 25 years old. I developed writing as a coping habit to deal with stress and an anxiety disorder while being bullied in school. I fell in love once. I was traumatized a few times by things I won't mention openly here. The mental health issues I've faced have been a painful obstacle for me and people around me, but I believe in working with people to overcome differences.
I wrote and self-published four books, but I decided not to sell them because they're not ready and I want to go back to them one day. I learned how to write and use all kinds of literary devices on my own, I didn't take any classes or go to a course for lessons on it. I edited the books, I edit all of my own work. When I write poetry I lean mostly towards emotional pieces, when I write stories of any kind they are always fictional and they are mostly of the Noir genre dealing with cops and robbers or such. That for some reason became the niche I'm the most comfortable in. So I won't be winning any debates on terminology in literature or art appreciation and history in my lifetime, but I never set out to either.
I don't have neat handwriting, so drawing never worked out for me. It's a condition called dysgrafia or something I'm told. I've never been a great reader, I usually get halfway through a book and then get distracted and start something else without ever finishing. So I've gotten some interesting criticisms being a writer with sloppy handwriting who doesn't read much. That's a lot about me as a writer and person in general for now.
