Blowing loud out the sunroof I see blue and red lights flashing behind my ride
Coming back from the boogie down Bronx were I copped the blue dream
Had my mind in another state of reality headed back to DC State troopers smelled the lovely
Took my ass to jail somewhere in New Jersey just the same routine sitting in the holding cell
Writing my pain no glory flashbacks of brilliance where it all started once again poetry saved my life now headed out west to get some rest in the Chi blowing purple leaves on top of chocolate Ty wondering why I’m still alive standing in the middle of somewhere now flashing smiles nit frowns found a solid foundation with my feet firmly on the ground blocking out strange sounds all around just hearing that hard knock from the beat of my heart boom-bap, boom-bap"
