going home,

her mouth
is like
a canyon,
ready
to swallow
up
the water,
the trees,

the air,
how recollections
remember,
this scent,
one falling
on another,
these memories
melting
into
each other,
and at
the evening
when
the world
all melts
the mountains,
darkness
will hold
everything

still.
