Sleep Deprivation (String of Tanka)
Time is ticking by
And I am trap in this trance
Unable to move
From my sitting position
To get up and start moving
My mind is hazy
My chest feels heavy, burdened
For no known reason
Since waking up very late
On this rainy afternoon
After a long while
The old familiar feeling
Is back to trouble
My heart my mind and my spirit
With feelings of disquiet
I am overtaken
By sense of placidity
That has been hiding
In the shadow of daylight
Waiting for a chance to pounce
Sleep...
And I am trap in this trance
