She Rose in Power
I swear I died one day.
Not in a grave, not in the flesh,
But something in me left.
Like my spirit packed its bags and said,
"I can't live here no more."
Three years before the world shut down,
I was already a ghost in my own life,
Trapped in a body that ain’t feel like mine.
Seventeen years deep with love that outgrew me.
Since 11th grade, I called it home—
But home ain’t supposed to suffocate you.
One morning, I woke up,
And the love that held me together?
It felt like chains.
So I let it go. Had to.

She Was Never Alone
She was seven.
A little Black girl in a world too heavy for her small frame,
Too sharp for her soft hands,
Too cruel for a heart that only wanted love.
She didn’t belong...at least, that’s what it felt like.
Floating through her own life, a ghost in her own skin,
Scared. Lost. Disconnected.
The nights swallowed her whole,
Darkness pressed against her like an unwanted touch.
The world wasn’t safe.
The monsters weren’t just under the bed.
They had keys to the front door.
Spoke in whispers when Mama wasn’t home.

I’m just a little child,
Here for only a few years,
Yet it feels like lifetimes of duality,
Bullied and broken by the one who is a gift.
I’m just human.
Sometimes I wear masks
To blend with the stars,
But my energy is too violent.
I guess I'll collapse into a black hole.
I’m not human.
To be human is to be among humans,
But my mind struggles to cope with them,
The ones who dragged my soul through torment,
Stripping me bare and leaving me cold,
A shadow by the roadside, unseen.
No one stops to offer a jacket, ...

Endless Bus Stop
In a risk not worth taking
In gear one, I ignited and took the road with some folks
Road too poor with huge bumps
In gear two, I drove into many corners
Too fast over speeding making jumps
Riding unsteadily changing gears non stop
Among the people riding along with me in a Toyota bus who took some turns on the steering wheel
Not one of us know how anyone among us feels We discussed and finally decided to reach an endless bus stop

Simple Pendulum
What in the name of a wee man is this?
I just want to feel this cool breeze as I freeze due to..
Me, sitting here with some very few who don't go by #Me too..
Even though I am a rebel, I won't lose my fate I need a single or two schedules for each an every date
I have lived for years, decades counting my days
I will only survive those days calculating everything I can say

I had a dream once, I was in this building full of rooms and people, then all of the sudden I hear folk screaming and running, and as I turn around, here is this red bull charging through everyone. Perpetual Derelict Peak
There it looms in front of me, steep, mocking and wreathed in hatred, my task to climb, I can’t decline, all else be damned the only way, so intrinsic
I have to climb and slip to my feet, scrambling up the scree until I see the bottom falling into the very top of itself, in repeating concussions of form
Foothold, with my pointy toes, handheld, it becomes brisk and torturous
Come climb, the mountain if you dare
Every ounce of care will be swiped from your soul, once you realise the sheerness of its height
All madness drives you onwards,...

Forbidden Thoughts
As I sit at my window watching this winter storm, I am invaded by thoughts of my past and how things could have been. I think of a particular past lover, one who knew my body like it belonged to him.
