Sonnet Nr.02 — Cricket-Football-Rugby
The batsman hit the ball as hard as hell
it flew beyond the line, a certain ‘six’
the umpire signalled both hands up to tell
as crowds applauded calmly pleased to bits
The centre-forward dribbled past the backs
and thwacked the ball, off-side, in back of net
the referee was blind or rather lax
or maybe bent the rules to win a bet
The fly-half took the ball and ran the pitch
a sprint of fifty yards, touched down to cheers
the try converted straight without a hitch

Sports,
I hate almost all sorts.
They cause injury, conflict, hatred against fellow man, and violent personality changes from head injuries,
The interesting things about almost all sports, remains to me, mysteries.
Like the head injury inducing football,
The similar rugby, and the murder causing soccer er- football.
The boring basketball, baseball, almost identical softball,
Uninteresting kickball, dangerous and over-glorified dodgeball,
The professional hot potato with exess sand sticking to sweat, that is volleyball,
Nearly identical...
