His Fever Soothes My Forever
Tormented souls twist each other
Until flesh reads like braille
Each unseen bruise
Reading like perfection
Until flesh reads like braille
Each unseen bruise
Reading like perfection

Tina Turner
She did not ask for the life
She was given
Looking like the woman and man
Who decided their life
Was more important
Grandma to the rescue
She did not choose the
One she loved
It hit her like a freight train
Never derailed
Controlled and rolled on
Seeing his goals
Who can save her now?
She did not ask for Talent.
The only saving grace in
Her existence
The children go
The friendships die
The love beaten out of her
Leaving marks that can't hide
Hope all but gone ...

Broken Hearts
I sail the seas with pride
You can't hide your heart
You shouldn't deny your love
You can't hide your heart
You shouldn't deny your love

Prisoner in my mind
I was being held a prisoner
Not sure where, but I couldn't escape
The shadow was tormenting me, telling me I was going to die
There was no apparent motive or reasoning behind this statement
I saw a knife
It looked more like a blade
A blade you would see in those machine shops, cutting lumber
My hands and legs were chained
Someone stood behind me holding my head back
This person kept whispering, "You are going to die, You are going to die"
I began to tear up thinking, "What can I possibly do to get out of this dilemma...

Twilight upon shores of night
How the white of the light

To Have & To Hold
Segments of contortion
Migrating marionettes
Evanescent forever
Cosmic mechanism
Broken

Sol
The morning sun took my shadow for a walk.
It flowed over concrete, cars and grass.
Sometimes playing hide and seek with much larger shadows or stopping when I stopped to greet a friend and chat to its own shadow buddy.
Most times it was by my side,a trusted friend.
Quite often though it would be up front hoping to get to the cafe first before the other shadows did.
Or it would be loitering behind me, a truculent toddler in search of its tantrum.
Everyone has shadows.
Some can't find the sun.
It flowed over concrete, cars and grass.

Quite often though it would be up front hoping to get to the cafe first before the other shadows did.
