Lake
The bicycle’s path lingers,
your arms, a soft prayer around my waist,
the morning breeze still carrying
the last note of our shared hymn.
By the lake, we paused,
hands almost brushing,
a question suspended between us,
unspoken, yet heavy as the moon.

I dreamt of romance last night
It was of someone i know!
Yet ten years ago, or so
I read on a dating site
That if age was a factor
And should it work right
Then by a rough rule of thumb
That they should be no younger than some
That are half your age old
Plus seven years added, to be told
Working on this basis
And some
Straightforward
Arithmatical sums
Then my potential partner
Will be at least 129 years old
But with possible healthy gums!

Diary Entry Il: Her Sweet Elixir
I knew it from the beginning,
That it could be love.
Your expression was of ethereal happiness,
Mine conveyed a celestial pause.
But my fear of falling once again
Stems from the taste of bitterness,
Which offered no comfort for my heartache.
And now, I'm dedicated to the proposition,
If I can once more endure the highs and lows of carnal desire.
Even if I may appear aloof, rest assured, I'm over the moon,
Although I don’t have the heart to say,
My life truly began the moment I met you.
That it could be love.

Corpse Flower
This putrescent bouquet,
Molts petals from its beauty
Dullen colors once vibrant,
Now sullen and drained of vibrancy,
Caught in the umbral,
Everything ends and as I -
Grasp the last thorny stem,
I lay upon the marble slate moribund.
Take grasp of my cadaverous hand,
Hold me in trepidation, but don’t falter
Bite your flesh until the wine spills,
Little rivers pooling like ruby lipstick
Now kiss me, parasitic, I feed
And once renewed,
I’ll return to you,
A flower in blossom once again.
