Est-ce l'amour (Revisited)
Candlelight's flicker
My eyes light upon your own
And the air hums sweet music
Of a song you've never sung
You who's every move
Dance before my eyes
A scarlet flame
Startled by the wind
From unknown depth
In a sea too deep to swim
As you in stillness shimmer
Fraught with incense
Fragrant as petals
Bedewed
Unfolding in the dawning
And I
Dizzy in your gaze
Speak a foreign tongue
Barbaric to my ear
Your smile sweet poetry
Too ethereal for my soul
As I fall swirling
Lingering ...
My eyes light upon your own
And the air hums sweet music
Of a song you've never sung
You who's every move
Dance before my eyes
A scarlet flame
Startled by the wind
From unknown depth
In a sea too deep to swim
As you in stillness shimmer
Fraught with incense
Fragrant as petals
Bedewed
Unfolding in the dawning
And I
Dizzy in your gaze
Speak a foreign tongue
Barbaric to my ear
Your smile sweet poetry
Too ethereal for my soul
As I fall swirling
Lingering ...

As Simple As That (Revisited)
How close do you want to be
Words
Would words be enough
Is that all there is
A cat and mouse game of tag, you’re it
Or does it go deeper than that
Can two say the things they’ve kept locked away
From others
To one another
And there only be words
And thoughts
And no more
How can it only be that
If it comes from the heart
The heart is a seeker
And its words silken cords
That bind one to another with strands so soft
You don’t know until bound.
Is that how close you want to be
Speaking as lovers do ...

She is not the one
She's no more • yet you see.
This wild one.
Wave rogue • in a sea.
Beguiled fun.
Of course • you are afraid.
Your instinct • is not wrong.
If you choose • to stay. • One day,
You know, • she will • be gone.
Abandoned • finds you reason.
This • is why you're drawn.
She is • but the season.
Change • is her song.
She will never • take it back.
The piece • of her love.
When you fall • off track.
She • will carry on.
With her smile • all the while.
Nowhere, • she belongs.
Long ago •...

Spring (Revisited)
Let me love you
Love you as I have with a heart tried
Through all the unnoticed hours before love dawned
And your eyes saw that it was I who lonely vigil kept
Those dark nights when love lived only in dreams
And days which bore winter's threadbare light of hope
Without compliant
Yet always praying for spring when flowers bloom
Though none so radiant as you
Who at times stills the very air
And all else falls away
Before beauty which transcends
And I in awe
Drink the draught your heart would speak
Breathing as you breathe ...

Lingering
Love can be a very funny thing
Sometimes… you don’t even realise it’s there
It’s just lingering… around the corner
You can sense it.. smell it.. taste it…
It’s never quite in your eye line
The sensation’s all around you
And yet you can’t quite put your finger on it
You deny it to yourself
Deny its existence at times
Because you don’t want to disturb… that beauuutiful thing
Just lingering.. lingering in the back of your thoughts
Lingering in your bed.. lingering in your mind
Where is it.. how can it be so ...
Sometimes… you don’t even realise it’s there
It’s just lingering… around the corner
You can sense it.. smell it.. taste it…
It’s never quite in your eye line
The sensation’s all around you
And yet you can’t quite put your finger on it

Lingering in your bed.. lingering in your mind
Where is it.. how can it be so ...

Gypsy Soul (Revisited)
I wonder how you would taste,
your lips,
their softness in their yielding,
for surely they must yield before you surrender.
Whether in a moan or a kiss,
or a mingling of the two,
they would part,
and in that moment,
for me alone,
for you are mine.
And would your blue-green eyes change as you looked at me through the fiery prism of passion,
your soul laid bare to mine.
For yours is a gypsy soul and I am a soul lost in your dance.
You lead and I follow as you...
your lips,
their softness in their yielding,
for surely they must yield before you surrender.
Whether in a moan or a kiss,
or a mingling of the two,
they would part,
and in that moment,
for me alone,
for you are mine.
And would your blue-green eyes change as you looked at me through the fiery prism of passion,
your soul laid bare to mine.
For yours is a gypsy soul and I am a soul lost in your dance.
You lead and I follow as you...

I
I have always wanted to fly
To reach a height that only I could feel
To lay on soft pillowed clouds
To soar with external zeal
I have always wanted to climb.
The stairs of Kuramayama Kyoto
To reach the heavens here on earth
So, I soar to the heavens.
As I spread my wings
And you take me,
Without question
Or demands.
So, I can experience
The glory that is.
Within me.

To lay on soft pillowed clouds

I have always wanted to climb.

thorns and kisses
Oh lift me as a wave, a leaf, a cloud! I fall upon the thorns of life!
I bleed!”—Percy Bysshe Shelley
and when i saw your perfect teeth,
i thought, how awesome for the perfect bite!
may they not bruise the kiss beneath
the sheathing of their canine-sparkling white.
a honeybee upon the wing,
no less resplendent than the mouth of you;
so cock-sure with its venom sting,
while foolish men get stung for honey brew.
so, too, the dark-red dew-clad rose,
enticing fondling hands to blow her horn,
while, underneath her...

Somewhere
Biting the lip of intrigue,
conviction in his writing
such concepts; dancing
words pervade my façade;
worn through time and lost love
to know of perfection
whispered here, and upon me
tickles spirit and senses, as
a breeze in summer’s evening,
on the rise of one sun.
