divine non-being
In the vortex of being, a stillness whispers,
echoes nothingness, in chambers of silence.
Existing without essence, without the figure itself,
navigate chaos, without a compass of mercy.
Being is a burden, non-being is a torment,
the void extends into an endless abyss.
The pain of chaos, a lament in the wind,
a silent scream, in which I lose myself.
In the dance of time, steps without destination,
where being is chance, and non-being is divine.
The search for meaning, in tortuous paths,
reveals the irony of idle desires. ...

She Seemed Nice
She didn't trust meeting him
they were really tight online
she was afraid he'd be a psycho
years back she served some time
He knew nothing about this
she wasn't saying a word
one day her story leaked out
he thought this was absurd
He questioned her through e-mail
asked if she was ever in jail
Yes, but I didn't do it
she never posted bail
The authorities are looking for me
I don't have a place to hide
the last thing she said to him
I'm going to skin you alive

by the slice
I feel it!
in my stomach
that low vibration
of want...
need
I crave pizza
not a whole pie
mind you
just a slice or
two
but there is a
problem
around here most
of the pizza shops
that sell by the slice
are already closed
leaving me with the
damnable choice of
a dozen cookie cutter
big outfit cooperate
America pizza chains
with their crust that
taste like paste
their cheese as flat
as a glass bottom
boat...

mental shackles
There is little hope for us until we become tough-minded enough to
break loose from the shackles of prejudice, half-truths, and down-
right ignorance.”—Martin Luther King, Jr.
zoot scales fell from my eyes,
but i did not yet know
that light was mine, if only i would look;
brute chains fell from my thighs,
yet i did not know how
to move along where, years, no step i took.
when sighted men fall blind
by willful ignorance,
then shall all else, for vision-lack, bear blame?

Tear You Apart
freelance assassin
every target is hit in the chest
leaves you broken and responsible...
you've been hit by the best
long-suffered and less delusional
excommunicated, self-martyred
let this be a confessional
unapologetic and unforgiven
fingers are numb, nails are bitten down
trade one habit for another
learned nothing from what i couldn't keep down
and everything from my mother
in my own tears i drown
lest i offend my father
bottom of the barrel, disguised as top shelf
i thought i had what it took ...

Imprisoned by Lies
An innocent man behind bars is free in his heart
Even when the law has failed him
While a guilty man will always be on the run
Whether he knows it or not
It will eat away at his soul
The same could be said for those who have fallen
Having believed lies
They will embrace it and live in it
And not for one single minute they will open their eyes
Reality is too harsh for some
It is a prison cast upon the hearts of many
Who think they know the truth and will fight for it
Unable to perceive the sinister designs with them...

We Walked Into This One Bedroom
We went over to this one house
looking all over for the louse
who kidnapped our friend Jennifer.
We walked into this one bedroom
and looked at what made our eyes zoom
in a huge box we found under
the bed which was Jen stripped naked
and tied with a gag on her head.
She was their sex slave prisoner.

Must They Torture Me, Too?
This
one guy
opened his
eyes and saw that
wife of his stripped nude
and chained to a wall like
her husband but also with
a blindfold on! Why must they do
this? I already agreed to be
their prisoner! Must they torture me, too?

Six Pleonasms in Search of Euphemism
Let's be honest
as in political correctness.
Politics lie!
Let's go outside
of this prison...
and save ourselves victims
of an innocent thief.

mugshot
After I was arrested, my ex-wife decided to hang a picture of my mugshot on
the wall in her living room. But she still won't admit she framed me.
bird-hunters sport their sligshots
such as i have done in my day
black citizens get gunshots
such as makes the hate-man’s sick day
the old man’s eyes are bloodshot
telltale signs of rum-bar wager
then quails the uptown hotshot
as the downtown girls upstage her
the drummer with his rimshot
marks the passing of each minute
the limo-stretching...
the wall in her living room. But she still won't admit she framed me.
