Her KinsMan - His Lady
Kinsman
Left alone to contemplate,
All the sacrifices that once he made,
Out of love, even out of rage,
The pain in his eyes was so vivid
I had to cry as the vibe took over,
A comfort word to say,
" I do understand"
Cannot take away the hurt that pierced his heart,
Some cultures teach you, men don’t cry,
But when they do, it’s like pureness of angels,
poured out of heaven,
It’s not weakness,
its cleansing of the soul and preparing for when the Lion has to roar,
Passion and affection is stirred when witnessing...

hardly a surprise
as you now study me
all that you see
Like an orange flame
one can never tame
with a domination
in black rippled stripes
At home in the jungle
deep within the tangle
of all that is wild
eclipsing the mild
Offering your proof
of a naturalistic truth
that cannot be denied
beneath your presence
Leaving us all tense
whether past or future
always scary leaving us wary
in the frozen now ...

I love the rise then fall
of the deep wide tide
the frothy flow
of a relentless sea
For nature is power
to help mark each hour
of this ever mortal
life
Each surging swell
now helps to tell
the truth of the ocean
its most briny verity
As if there to remind me
of my purpose
of the very reason
laced within each season
Such buoyant dreams
it still seems
lift me ever higher
as I again agree to conspire
of the deep wide tide
