cloudy

my mind turns with the seasons
it is always so
lifting on the airs searching the winds, while I wander
sigh to touch the sky
to fly untethered

my soul reaches out to nature
reading tea leaves and people's faces
an empath I feel so much
which is sometimes too heavy
to escape for a moment to where it's fresh

so often the body makes me feel, clausterphobic
my being longs to be untethered
reaching the limits of my binds
pulling on the restraints
and take off
astral traveling

I return from my voyage ...

Forcing Myself to Write for Some Unknown Reason

I never know what I'm trying to say.
So I wing it.
And, try to write something.

Precise.

Cause,
English is not a good language for poetry.
It sounds so choppy.

So malformed.

Bereft of inspiration.

Borrowed words from passing cultures.

This is narration.
This is the tautology.
Of stating a fact.

Forcing myself to write.
So I don't forget the difference.
Between prose

And.

My Poetic Knife

Resting restlessly within the dark of its sheath,
my poetic knife feels expressionless.

When so, it wants to be drawn
and plundered into the white of the page.

Then it wants to cut through the emptiness
and carve out beautiful metaphors.

The blade will glint in the light of an idea
and will be drenched in the ink of words.
