sunrises and monsters
feeling the arc of pain playing out on my weary bones
who screams no not now
strong and willful my soul batters at the constraints of hurt
entering the need of the moment
it needs me to be strong
wrestling with demons I know well
sharpens my instincts
the spirits are restless
and i with them
my soul aches with a feeling
you know the ache
the one that keeps you up at night
fearing sleep cause of the monsters I will meet there
they're waiting for me
entertain the feeling it gets brighter by day...

Overcast
Constantly had rain given me anxiety
The heart would pound, shoulders tensed
Cold weather piercing through bones
The most dreadful time of pain
But
Once a fond memory in the downpour
A house in ruins, much to clean and fix
No electricity, no running water, only a mess
Happy was i to restore what the past destroyed

The dirty dishware littered about by your ex
Who abandoned this abode in disarray
Left for you to sweep, scrub, and wash

Their cars were motionless
Their home was drab
Their intensity was addiction
They once tried going to rehab
They failed miserably
Handling it with no care
Their appearance was frightful
Entering their house was extremely rare
Their sex was frustrating
Both were failing
He was dry & she was limp
Their health was ailing
Reality was a nightmare
Death surrounds their vision
The Grim Reaper is watching
Motionless people can create a collision
Their home was drab

here I am at 3 something in the morning
light is dim as darkness surrounds me
feeling your soul in distress of the unknowing
silence has no resolve with those you truly luv
breaking heart cry’s out softly for understanding
only to be intentionally rudely disarrayed
faith in God within grows stronger each day
for we all know He’s the one in control of life
surrender all to Him and believe in His will

BEREAVEMENT
Dear All,
You may be seeing less of me during this week. I have just heard from my sister that our mother died early this morning aged 91 (would have been 92 on April 4th coming up(. I welcome anyone's prayers as it has also come at a time when I am planning for retirement in June and was copying over some of my poems pre the site closing. We will have funeral arrangements to deal with. God bless you all.
UPDATE - Her funeral (cremation) will take place on 15th April, it has been rather long in getting arranged because of bureaucratic business with medical examiner...
