And I wait (ramble stream of consciousness forth coming)
I know when we found the coins to scrape together
to put you on that flight you would
have the time of your life
the snippets of the man you will become
touching at the corners of your eyes
when you coached your sisters soccer team at 13
and even now when your walk through the yard
the little ones treat you like a rockstar
and they brag that
you
you with the smart mouth and foul language
you who we have seen naked and cold
and broken and scared
are their hero
and my daughters brag about you
being...

I Worry Boy
once we were warriors filled
with fierce pride
banging our fists to chest
we would shake with the need to bleed
or make bleed
we were men that knew the language of protection
we were men that knew the language of love
toward our family
that knew how to nurture
our hard curbed by their soft
but
warped by booze
violence turned inward
we directed hate at ourselves
letting it spill over our loved ones
and our pride
died
became a curse
cheap piss and beer breath ...

we would shake with the need to bleed

a little bit of magick
My son begged me
to buy him a wand
and was so disappointed
when he realised
he couldn't do real magic
he tried to turn me
invisible
and it obviously didn't work
It didn't stop him from trying
various spells
for three days
as I tried to explain
that pretend is fine
while offering him
a different kind of magic
waving the wand over his head
and proclaiming
that "buddy, is beautiful and clever"
and asking him if that spell
made feel beautiful and clever
and...

Heirloom
A beautiful and brilliant woman,
With a horrible past,
Tries frantically to get away,
But it suckles at her breast.
A strong and independent woman,
Willingly bears the burden alone,
Taking care of her own mistakes
So a debt is never owed.
A broken and deserving woman,
Searching for the love she never had,
Too desperate to see
That unconditional love
was trying to hold her hand
A determined and resilient woman,
Set on proving them all wrong,
Career-focused, self-obsessed,
No room for the little...

Secret Family Tree
From what I can remember when we all gathered together, at Big Mama's house where the elders of the women's, would prepare a Home Town cook out for gathering, for the family. IT was a time that I will never forget. As it was a gathering of the elders and uncles and aunts and sisters and brothers, with their off springs children running around playing children games. While the olders people would play cards or shuffle board games, as the elders would look out and see the families all together in one place. Yet they could be found sitting up under a old oak tree, in the shade of the afternoon...

Like I Was Never Touched
There are things I don’t say.
Things I press down so deep,
they never had a voice—
only suffering,
only pain.
My body was never mine, not really.
Hands took it before I even knew how to feel.
Before I could understand the perversion,
before I understood the way a soul can fracture
and still keep moving.
I have been taken so many times,
I stopped believing there was anything left to keep.
I have been seen, but never known.
Touched, but never held.
Wanted so...

The Dish and the Spoon - with Adagio
It was twilight in a small town in New Mexico. I breathed deep, walking home after closing my bookshop for the night. Taking a shortcut path approaching the cul-de-sac, I felt the silence creeping up my spine. As a long-time advocate for the unbridled pleasures and misdemeanors, I obsessed quietly on "The Cat and the Fiddle," as curiosity tickled my flesh. I was obsessed with the silhouette-like movement behind curtains of the homes as I passed.
As I walked, I turned into a child and the neighborhood became the one I grew up in. The night was quiet and cold. I walked...

And now a true story
My childhood friend Kirby and I once hypnotized a frog in the summer of 88. We found a rock on the lake's shoreline that looked like an emerald. We believed the rock had super powers. An hour later, we found the frog. We began rubbing the rock on the top of it's forehead. It was amazing. The frog was hypnotized. (We thought) We weren't sure though on how to unhyptnotize the frog. Instead, we kept the frog and fed it to Kirby's German Sheppard, named Bear. That was the 1st time his dog tasted frog! 'oui oui'
After Bear had lunch, we went inside to see Kirby's Grandma. This old...

Without love
What is life without love, for is it still call life when we are alone in the dead of the night skies. THAT hangs upon our very words, like the silence of our night tears that seems, to be lost in the very mixture of unforgotten time. ⌚ For sure do we really know what is life without love, but yet we still crave that real feeling of love and affection, and support and understanding. Only to be denied that what we crave due to the point, that we start shifting our own personal thoughts, 🤔 to dive deeper than deep into the process of the way that, we think and believe in our heart...

20 Years
Hey, kiddo.”
I say softly as she walks into view, a warm smile already tugging on my lips. She lifts her head to meet my eyes, tilting it as she observes my face, before suddenly announcing, “You look like Grammy!” I can’t help but chuckle at her response, kneeling down so that we are eye-to-eye. I watch as she takes in my most despised parts, my double chin, thin mouth, and plump cheeks, a mix of curiosity and affection shining in her bright brown eyes.
“I guess so.” I reply quietly, a similar blend of emotions swimming with tears in mine. There are so many things I...

SPIRITUAL POWER OF A WOMAN
It's me again the story teller of words ✍️ I would like to take a moment of your time, to give my own utmost respect to all the women's of the world. 🌎 For sure if it wasn't for a strong 💪woman there wouldn't be a strong man. THAT is willing to stand and fight as a strong man. Building a strong relationship with a strong, foundation of steel and stones. 🪨 THAT together they shall always stand side by side. For sure I give them the upmost honor with respect, for if wasn't for a woman we as men could not even EXIST....
