Frigid Sky
Time is passing by and slowly
Losing all its breath
Sun is going down so lonely
In the frosty, distant west
Cold nasty winds are blowing
All the hopes fade away
While life is freezing
Into a snowy, powdery haze
Within a frozen moment
Into a crystal winter sky
Memories are melting
Tears open up my eyes
Soon salvation
Will bring a long-awaited end
Reaching primordial creation
Uniting with you, my old friend
Losing all its breath
Sun is going down so lonely
In the frosty, distant west
Cold nasty winds are blowing
All the hopes fade away
While life is freezing
Into a snowy, powdery haze
Within a frozen moment
Into a crystal winter sky

Uniting with you, my old friend

The Loneliest Constellation
How can one be so lonely from the beginning,
From the cellular start
Before the tongue and breath have formed, before the light touches the baby
Maybe it was rotting in the marrow of my bitter father,
Tortured in a nebula of his own mind and violence
The infant understanding selfishness in the winning of all this existence
Yes, I should have let a son take my place

Now, about those highways
I like to remember things my own way. How I remembered them, not necessarily the way they happened. —David Lynch, Lost Highway
We all have them don't we?
Most of us see them
as routes to destinations,
lines guiding us to private
paradises and cramming in
what we can on a long drive.
This is where i'm home
headlights and yellow lines,
polaroids hanging off old
monuments, memories
tacked on the trunks of
tall trees, oral stories
half finished dripping
off somebody's lips.

Death of a Big Fish
for David Lynch
The strangeness inherent in you
was not disturbing, in the end,
not in a sense that prophesied flames, at least,
but opened up a strange vista,
one terrifying in Radcliffe’s vision
of what defines terror:
expanding your soul, not annihilating.
A woman in trouble. Wrapped in plastic.
Bipedal bunny rabbits in human clothes.
Dennis Hopper huffing gas.
Laura Dern with weird stretched-out smile.
Or LAX in brightest day.
The sentimental turned
to sinister. Black Lodge. Dwarf.
These painterly...

The Ticking Clock
As I grow older, time passes by
Seems like day after day
I lose another friend I've known
Everyone passes away
But I'm still hanging on
Sometimes I have to ask why?
I can't describe the pain
Or the emptiness I feel inside
Time isn't kind to anyone
So it seems to me
We're all forgotten in the end
Lost to posterity
Whether we rot in the ground
Or go ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Even the strongest metals
Decay and turn to rust
~Chorus~
Where do we go when we pass
There's only one...
Seems like day after day
I lose another friend I've known
Everyone passes away
But I'm still hanging on
Sometimes I have to ask why?
I can't describe the pain

Anyone Can Cook
Riddle me this, that, the other thing
Fortune cookies reveal a sliver
Of paper money worth an ideal
An idea
Of a whisper
You say this, that, the other thing
It’s hard to follow
A ghostly waiter
suivez-moi maintenant
Training you on a new chemical process
An hour to cook, sit, rest, consume
Interned at the holy grounds of black pepper
I mark the gravesite
With my mother’s recipe
Just the way she used to make it
Fortune cookies reveal a sliver
Of paper money worth an ideal
An idea

You say this, that, the other thing

Incognito Me N Shadow
Always layin low
watched the world
turn and turn as I grow
76 trombones but still learning
cause mans manipulation of
the world and mans schemes
are never ending
Dig the way I ran through
life so quiet wild and peaceful
always incognito me and
shadow

CENTER OF BALANCE
It's true that in this life we may never truly know what someone else, is going through in there own personal life. FOR example we all have a moment of a want and need of a helping hand from time to time ⌚ For sure it cost you nothing to have a good heart ❤️ and even a deeper spiritual soul 🙏 to connect on a positive level of energy and strength and understanding. For we all need that equal level of the center of balance of life and love. ❤️ THAT will affect us in ways that we may never truly understand, but that's alright to need and want not that...

SUDDENLY IT CAME TO ME (Wed., Jan. 8th, 2025, 1:00am, Palm Springs, California)
suddenly
it came to me
in flowing streams
of gleaming liquid veils unfurled
a sacred truth s secret hidden
in these words
within my being
within my soul
whispered given
to by and from
someone something
some previously ungrasped unknown
higher ineffable power
somewhere far beyond
this earth this sun
these feelings thoughts
these thin ink lined words
arisen...

Lap around the sun
Another year has drifted by
passing at the blink of an eye.
Each blessing leaves me guessing what’s in store for me next
but I know my fate is in my hands.
It was a lovely loop around the sun
and in this moment of reflection free from haziness
I see how wonderful my life is.
All the love surrounding me, all the journeys,
the wild drunken nights and breathtaking views with beauty so blinding..
but experiencing these moments with the soul of my dreams is what elevates me.

Becoming Ash
Cremation is my chosen final act.
May I become ash
to nourish the shores
where I was conceived.
In moments of passion,
I envision my flesh ablaze,
a withering torch.
Will my remains still pulse
with unquenched desire?
While I live, my eyes open wide
with longing,
and my arms extend in yearning,
not for rescue
but for embrace.
Yet the flames are too fierce.
My lovers do not hear my cries.
Burning, oh that ultimate,
bittersweet embrace with death.
I will relinquish...
