Ballad Of The Dragon
You were walking across the lake.
Drinking coffee,half awake.
And you stumble upon a cave.
You think to yourself,is it dangerous?
Does it have a grizzly bear?
Or maybe,a nymph that is fair?
The wind then gently blows into your hair.
And you give the cave a curious stare.
Your fear, you now decided to bear.
And you carefully walked into there.
At first look, you didn't see much.
Then,you spot piles of gold.
On the corners of the cave, mold.
""This is dangerous!"",you were told.
But...
Drinking coffee,half awake.
And you stumble upon a cave.
You think to yourself,is it dangerous?
Does it have a grizzly bear?
Or maybe,a nymph that is fair?
The wind then gently blows into your hair.
And you give the cave a curious stare.

some white dreams
songs got lost somewhere,
verses became slaves of someone,
the gatekeepers of despair
started guarding the door
of self-respecting imagination,
art lost its synonyms,
winds became still and calm,
sand started forming foam in the blue ocean,
young flowers fell to the ground at a young age,
Gulmohar-like houses turned into wax overnight,
burning lamps became dim,
youth lost its passion,
emotions lost their enthusiasm,
tangles tied the feet of the soft creepers of life,
when the clouds of blackness covered the pink world...
verses became slaves of someone,
the gatekeepers of despair
started guarding the door
of self-respecting imagination,
art lost its synonyms,
winds became still and calm,
sand started forming foam in the blue ocean,
young flowers fell to the ground at a young age,

tangles tied the feet of the soft creepers of life,
when the clouds of blackness covered the pink world...

The Poet and The River
From John Clare where the river speaks
Voicing the murmurs of a fearful Styx
Where a soul damned to bear the glooms
Of life's torments and the mortal dooms
I hear your verse, poet of the lonely voice
Solitary drifter, roaming the stark solitude
I hear your lament from the first ever love
The star-crossed lover from the grievous blows
I see the burden weigh heavy on your heart
Like Atlas, carrying the heavens on his back
Forlorn and solely loitering in the vast plains ...
Voicing the murmurs of a fearful Styx
Where a soul damned to bear the glooms
Of life's torments and the mortal dooms
I hear your verse, poet of the lonely voice
Solitary drifter, roaming the stark solitude
I hear your lament from the first ever love
The star-crossed lover from the grievous blows
I see the burden weigh heavy on your heart
Like Atlas, carrying the heavens on his back
Forlorn and solely loitering in the vast plains ...

Dupin in London
fan fiction based on characters created by Edgar Allan Poe
It was in the year 18—— that my friend Dupin and I set sail to London to stay with a sponsor for whom Dupin had rendered a most invaluable service when they were caught in a “cooping” incident, a most disreputable practice whereby a man is plied with drink and then forced to visit polling stations to vote for his assailants’ chosen candidate. The sponsor was a wealthy but naive young dandy from New York, visiting New Orleans just as Dupin had also gone to sample the local culture for a piece to be published in Blackwood’s....
