Silent Motion
By Lara D.
Walking down this dusty road
As I drag my feet through
The pebbles on the road
Staring at my own reflection
In the water of the potholes
This has been such a long road
Racing against the time
Since the moment I was born
Pulling though my fragile
Body and broken soul
Through this dusty road
As I travel all alone
The wind chimes through
Dried up leaves and trees
The harsh musical melody
That’s so familiar and deadly
Reminder of all forgotten
Nightmares and ugly dreams
Like a black and white silent movie
It’s all captured in my memory
Of all the things I left behind
The silent motionless pictures
As I’m not looking back in time
Walking this long dusty road again
