Passion and Patience

I wish I could be a universal lover.
A transcendent mother.
Take the world in my arms, to experience everyone's charms.
To share this untamed passion, seemingly endless,
As a gift to the lonely souls of this existence.
Within suffering there is a request.
To be understood, at very best.
But then to have that pain lifted,
After everywhere that we all have drifted.
This place where we go to find spirits the same,
We forget what we were, and why it was that we came.
We get tossed and lost, inside of this game.
With no trust, it's a bust, and a crying shame.

I pour love into the abyss that is the earth.
I wish to stoke the fire, and warm the hearth.
To ignite flames long gone to sleep,
To evenly spread everyone in the heap.
This energy I harness, It once seemed a burden.
But only because I knew not who was hurting.
I thought it to be, the spirit I am told to call me,
My heart had deceived, it is all that I see.
But now it's clear, through the confusion and fear,
It is for everything, I am to hold it all dear.
To feel pleasure from the planet, and the beauty it bears,
To return the favor, and know that it cares.
