WHAT COMES IN SPURTS
what comes
in spurts
too oft results
in pools
of suspect worth
yet still
comes forth
as if to scoff
to dance around
the very nature
of almost any
stiffened form
however restrained
or self confined
within the narrower
yawning realm
of more accepted
more expected
standard definitions
sprung forth
in all directions
up from the valid
though
stagnant mire
of so called
normalcy
a twisted
crippling side effect
of and from
too much too long
congealed
too tightly held
tradition s
culturally programmed
false blind beliefs
even so with that
now said
i still can t help
but wonder
in the broader context
bigger picture
relative freedom
of this brief
feral moment here
what words
can ever
come and go
and not succumb
to fallow limits
of their own
too shallow scope
to resonate enough
to live beyond
the unknown
unmarked shelf life
of their timeless
vague impression s
subtle nuanced reach
within the
timeless other context
of it s subconscious
cloud like content s
symbolic imagery s
ability to bring
it right out into
clearer conscious view
and light
of any tuned in
night or day
as creative sparks
of sudden insights
waiting to be gleaned
from vast
mysterious place
of seemingly
non physical birth
through such
pre thought release
into such
free unconjured
creatively
expressed
fluid timeless
inner vision s
newly arisen
manifested being s
ever changing
ever evolving form
even here now
right before
my eyes
barely hidden
masked inside
this freshly
spilled
simple little
twisty poem s
peculiar little
twisty tale
made
of all these
loosely cobbled
twisting little
free flow
twisty word s
released
let out
set free
to leave
behind
in the ever
spreading
silent
after wake
of my
present
lifetime s
passing
journey
as further
evidenced
here tonight
within
this twisty little
new born
poem s
still rather
cryptic
twisty little
trail
of twisty
little
words
again
which
came
in spurts
to rest
here now
in this
new
pool
of even
more
freshly
spilled
suspect
worth
