Mother Darling

Mother darling?
Do you still love me?
I don't think you ever did.
The perfect daughter I could not be.

Mother darling,
Was it because I wasn't a boy?
Not strong and macho,
Dropped like a broken toy.

You know mother darling,
I'm getting really sick of your shit,
You made me an emotional wreck,
I was the punchbag you'd always hit.

Well mother darling!
A pretty penny I know I'm worth,
You've sponged off me for years,
Taking everything I've had since birth.

Mother darling,
No sympathy remains,
I've hardened my heart to you,
I'm done feeling this pain.

So mother darling,
Tell me where you were?
When I went over the edge,
You've never been there.

Mother darling,
A pretty little talent you have there,
Wrapping even the coldest soul round your finger,
With your stupid false smile that says you care.

Oh but mother darling,
A leopard never changes its spots,
You'll still discard my well being,
I was home alone while you did shots.

Mother darling,
Get this up your worn out hole!
I'm gone for good,
I've broken free from your control.
