where no metaphor has gone through before

am I searchin' for a door?
cause there's no doors without a wall
but verbal trapdoors make me fall
not sure what I am searchin' for
it seems it is no door at all

maybe it's a hidden path
but that is just another word
that cannot name what stays unheard
a metaphor that cannot grasp
the nature of what stays obscure
just like the future does for sure

ancient peoples – did they know
a “way” to get a glimpse of it?
but what was it that was slightly lit
by secret “ways” they claimed to “go”?
was there a concept that did fit

within an ancient verbal world
that's really lost in long past times
     unknown to our hybrid minds
framed by incompatibly mixed words?
they could not know what makes us blind
cause we're beyond what was defined
     and experienced within their signs
that became silent through the reckless time
we cannot feel what they had meant
before we changed their meaning and
     their contextually balanced sense

there is no “bridge” to cross that gap
the distance cannot even be expressed
there are no words to shape a guess
no metaphor can lead our step
through an unthinkably weird mess

so how could I be able to
describe an even weirder thing
     so far from each remembering
from any thought that we can do
that stays beyond by hiding in-between
but what the hell does that mean?

it can't be heard nor can't be seen
it can't be felt nor can't be named
there is a meaning left untamed
more complex than a bunch of themes
so metaphors are much too lame
to fix its questions to a scheme
     fast changing beyond known extremes
a dream just dreamed by unknown dreams
     indirectly floating, can't be explored
there is no way to reach a core
     of any deeper metaphor

but I'm still searching for a door...
and nothing more...
