The Rose That Is You

Soon your flower will bloom,
But its beauty will wither in comparison,
When placed by your side.

You will guess a rose,
That I am most certain,
The colour, ah, there's the mystery.

The rose with all its royalty,
Comes with much reverence,
Yet, one stands above all.
Not the passionate red King,
Nor the divine white Queen,
As many would suggest.

It is the brilliant angelical aura,
That radiates to all that is pure,
With a gentle glow of inner beauty,
Whose hue is that of a clear summer's day.

When confronted by its light.
You need not be afraid.
For it is who you are.
A rose by any other colour,
Would not be as lustrous as you.

Just as the sky races across the vast sea,
So is your secret splendor released,
You are free now,
Free to see what I see,
The Beauty that is the Blue Rose,
The Beauty that is You.
