logical defence
(inspired by Thomas Nagel's “The Last Word”)
a strange prediction brightens up my mind
although logic cannot understand
still trying to disprove itself to find
there's only a hazy, circling trend
spinning without a realistic chance
to leave its very own boundary
trapped in feelings of overcoming every fence
without passing the line it cannot see
blind for a minute and then for each next
although everything just seems to fit
there's an illusive rule and all is hexed
as long as we try to get out of it
protecting our very failing minds
so this is the very best defence:
we can't get lost as long as logic binds
and builds our world by making sense
spinning without a realistic chance
to leave its very own boundaries
trapped in feelings of overcoming every fence
without passing the line nobody sees
a strange prediction brightens up my mind
