"Only By Blood"

You were my big brother,
My best friend.
I loved you like no other,
I loved you to no end.

So why did you do that?
Why did you have to mess up our bond?
You thrived when I was sad,
Now that's all I feel since you've been gone.

You're not dead, and I'll never wish for you to be.
No matter how much it hurts,
Forget what you did to me.
But don't ever return.

Don't come closer.
Don't you look at me.
I may be your sister,
But only by blood, not because I choose to be.

I can definitely get the gist of what this is about. I'm sorry about what happened, whatever it may have been but something good did come out of it; this beautiful poem. The emotions came across perfectly and the rhyming was nice. :D Good job. Oh, and I have a poem much like this it's called 'Diamond Straight-Jacket'.
