The Harrowing

My head aches agonizingly. The hairs on my neck stand tall and my pupils widen. I'm within college. It's completely dark outside and in the classrooms. Only the green glow of the "EXIT" lights can be seen in the corridor. I am in a classroom, head on a desk, arse in a seat. I don't remember anything, I don't remember who I am. Everything around me is so dark. Naturally, I feel really scared and this feeling is only heightened by echoing squelches and quieter screams in the distance. Screeching the chair back on the hardwood floor, I lift myself up and head toward the door, leading myself with my hands in front of my body. I grab the handle of the door and push down, but it refuses to move. It's locked. I begin to panic as another scream echoed through the hallways. I realize the doors are latched on the inside, quickly unlatch it and run out of the classroom. When I leave, I then realize my eyes have to cover more ground. Ahead, behind, every door for every classroom. I can literally hear my heart pounding harder and harder. I cannot see a thing, but at the same time, I don't believe I want to. I feel around for anything to help, along the walls and past the classroom doors. I get to the light switches, only to realize there is no power. The pressure and fear is crushing down on my mind. My head cupped in my hands, I can feel myself trying to push tears out, but nothing is happening. A loud wail scares me so close to death, so I jolt up and just run. I run and run through the corridors, my boots stomping louder and echoing steps. I stop dead in my tracks, my eyes cannot believe my sight. Right in front of me I can see something. Standing. The light of the vending machine shines upon a figure. I try to make out detail, but it keeps changing. Its "skin" keeps moving and eyes glow orange. I am completely petrified. My legs are frozen in place, but my hands trace backward, desperately trying to push my body away from this "thing". Its giving off massive amounts of heat and is dripping of some kind of vicious liquid. It is also giving off one hell of a negative feeling. My heart hits harder and harder against my chest. My hand grabs a small box on the wall and I use it to force myself away from my eyes locking on this creature. The fire alarm sounds insanely loud, red flashing lights engulf all the classrooms and the hallways and the creature turns to me. It wails loudly with its hands on its head. Its mouth widens downward and shakes his head violently. It runs toward me, hitting walls and columns along the way. It reaches me, at this point I am completely paralyzed. Its wet cheek rubs against mine, burning the entire side of my face. It then whispers a single word into my ear, in the voice of a very good friend of mine. I violently scream and wake up in class. Its daytime. Its third lesson. My friends and fellow classmates all stare at me, along with the male teacher. No one says a thing as I simply look around. They all stare at me, jaws wide open with shock. I look at the table and notice blood marks. My cheek has a terrible stinging sensation.
