I Am The Ocean

I am the ocean
I see fish swimming about me
So many beautiful shapes and colors
Waves crashing by the shore
“Kaboom”
I touch you when you surf
“Splash”
I smell the salty air
I see the tempestuous wind as it moves around
When the sun’s rays touch me
I feel enlightenment
I feel the warm rays beating down on me
But when the sun goes down
And the moon comes up
I feel cold
“Brr”
It’s so pretty here at night
The moonlight makes me glisten
It makes my cerulean body shimmer with a beauty so rarely seen
When the sun comes up again
It looks like a flashlight coming on
I hear birds squawking
“Wake up” “Wake up”
The sun wakes my fish-filled eyes
I am awake
Slowly I open my eyes
I see the brightness of the sun waking up the Earth
There is a magnitude of colors
I see the bright green of the trees
The beautiful blue sky with white, fluffy clouds
My waves crash down
The surf’s up!
I’m full of life-fish, dolphins, and whales
I feed on light from the sun
I am the ocean
