changing (moon phases)
I can see myself changing..
As the moon mirrors me in crimson
Bleeding as I question questions
And I can recall the uncertainty of the new moon..
Of how the darkness blanketed my soul
So unrecognizable..
I lost my identity to the shadows
Just as the lunar cycle forgot it's light..
I'm deafened by the silence of midnight
Even as I long since abandoned my anger,
My self toils of animosity
My inner Phoenix never rose
It merely embraced the ashes
I realize now I am but a ghost
Drifting aimlessly among trifled memories
Asphyxiated by a shroud of riddles
And I'm left lost,
Watching as the phases of the moon mock me..
As the moon mirrors me in crimson
Bleeding as I question questions
And I can recall the uncertainty of the new moon..
Of how the darkness blanketed my soul
So unrecognizable..
I lost my identity to the shadows
Just as the lunar cycle forgot it's light..
I'm deafened by the silence of midnight
Even as I long since abandoned my anger,
My self toils of animosity
My inner Phoenix never rose
It merely embraced the ashes
I realize now I am but a ghost
Drifting aimlessly among trifled memories
Asphyxiated by a shroud of riddles
And I'm left lost,
Watching as the phases of the moon mock me..
