Reflection
You, selfish devil,
I see you every day.
You give me no rest,
that is your way.
When I wake,
it is you I see.
And at night;
I am never free.
You remind me,
of all that I've failed.
It is your toxic breath,
that I have inhaled.
I place my hand to yours,
and feel the cold chill.
It torments me,
as is your will.
Enraged,
fatigued by your judgements.
I made the call.
tonight you fall.
I swing at you,
as you do me.
Our fists collide,
in this travesty.
The mirror shatters.
I stand alone.
Where did I succeed?
This will not atone.
It seems, the one I've always hated,
will continue to live.
Until the day I've waited,
reveals the crows kiss.
I see you every day.
You give me no rest,
that is your way.
When I wake,
it is you I see.
And at night;
I am never free.
You remind me,
of all that I've failed.
It is your toxic breath,
that I have inhaled.
I place my hand to yours,
and feel the cold chill.
It torments me,
as is your will.
Enraged,
fatigued by your judgements.
I made the call.
tonight you fall.
I swing at you,
as you do me.
Our fists collide,
in this travesty.
The mirror shatters.
I stand alone.
Where did I succeed?
This will not atone.
It seems, the one I've always hated,
will continue to live.
Until the day I've waited,
reveals the crows kiss.
