An Oblivion

As blood runs down our arm,
My identity slips away,
On scarlet drops,
This pain we feel,
Is not for them,
But for us.
To keep us tethered to reality,
To have a reason to cry,
Yet a reason to try,
A glimpse of hope,
Enough to blind our eyes,
Our eyes of lies.
Lies that will change us forever,
Never will we be the same.
As the shadow of despair,
Falls upon us,
We run into oblivion,
A one way door,
With no way back,
We'll scream and cry,
Yet it's to late,
We're stuck in this oblivion,
Called Life.
