Family Tradition

Our little family tradition,
A well kept secret,
So well kept,
Next in line,
Doesn't even know,
Or does she?
Little trickles of truth,
Slips of the tongue,
From a poisonous mouth,
Let reality escape,
So she sees clearly,
Through the wool,
That has been pulled over too many eyes,
For far too long.
Not like the rest,
She's not scared,
Not restricted by you,
She knows all.
And more importantly,
She knows you.
She can succeed where the rest have fail.
