Look and see

Please look now, and you can see  
The little girl, she is just me  
The girl who laughed and jumped and played  
The one when you were sad, she stayed  
But did you care, when she laid bare?  
When all her life she had to fear?  
When she called and cried and screamed  
Did you care? no you just beamed  
At all the injuries you caused  
Was there some time,where you had paused?  
To see the pains you were inflicting  
I see them now, its all so sickening  
But now, I have the one who cares  
And takes away my hurtful fears  
I know in time, that I will heal  
I see the help, the love I feel  
From the ones, who really care  
And helps to end my hurtful fears  
I know, I will, be okay  
As for you? well come what may  
I know things for me will heal  
I have a heart, and I do feel.
