Madman

Drip, Drip,
that was all I hear.
Drip, Drip,
now I'm filled with fear.

I rose, awoke from slumber,
to my surprise I saw a sight so grim.
A sight that's filled with hunger,
of redness all around the scene.

Then it goes, drip, drip,
I stepped back now once more.
I feared it might go back to life,
end my life that's filled with strife.

Then I then realized so quick, so sudden,
if 'deed this sight will end my burden...
Why not approach with lightning speed,
let throats be slit and end this deed.

Then drip, drip, again, again,
t'was mine this time, then all is blurred.
I now awoke inside a pen,
all voice is gone, not one is heard.

Then drip, drip, again, again,
he comes once more, a knife, my den.
All is lost, oh all is lost,
I weep, I weep, the end I've crossed.
