Push Pins and Origami Frogs
Sitting in my car
the salt covered windshield reveals nothing
I like it that way
I'm tired of seeing
the dirtier the better
blind by choice
ground up dreams
falling through
my hands
I could've stopped it
but
I just let it go
it was easier to kill it
then to let it live
I couldn't have hope floating around
kinda takes away from my tough guy image,
I gotta protect that
at all costs
the sky is cadaverous
it faded with the idea
it's not the first bland thing I've encountered
I suppose I can deal with it
I mean, all this is my doing anyways
no hard feeling and no soft ones either
four joints later
the world still sucks
I put my seat down and open the sunroof
yep, there's that fucking moon
and oh look, the stars got the nerve to shine
how typical

I felt a lot of frustration in this,
a little how I feel at the moment
so it helped me to read this poem.

^Love the sardonic tone.

Were you drinking in your car again? lol jk
Anyways, it feels very agitated, the atmosphere very sarcastic. I like it very much, the poems I've been reading recently have been sad so this was a nice switch. It really gives a nice look into your thoughts.

I did not expect this piece from the teaser (title and graphic) - but crap, Nikki, way to toss the match and watch the whole place burn! Probably had marshmallows too. Love the attitude and mind-set.
