Parting words
You go left and I go right
separating paths one dark one light
If I could I'd follow you
But I don't, you asked me not too
I went to our meadow and plucked you a daisy
but you're lingering absence made me half crazy
I know I messed up and took you for granted
but without you, my world is empty and slanted
I was used to being alone,
surrounded by fools
I know that I shouldn't have
but I used them as tools
For so many years we were friends
making our own fashions,
avoiding the trends
It's hard to believe that our passions
are coming to unbelievable invisible ends
So I guess, with this note mighty and high
I'm finally ready to say
Goodbye
