The loss
Oh how bitter the fruit of love is
When once before darkness stalked it
I still see the pain of longing and anguish
haunting deep in your eyes
I tried but to no avail as i am only mortal
To free you from that dark embrace
Every day i cried and longed for your soft loving touch
But instead got a cold lonely bed
The sun has lost it's golden touch
and instead looks down on me with disgust
How could i let you go without a touch
or a kiss to say I love you
But now it is all over and life must go on
I still yearn for your voice the glimpse in your eyes
My heart is so empty a longing for you
As i go through my days looking for love
I know you are looking over me from high above
