Here I am Lord
Down on my knees
Asking you please

I am tired of fighting this battle all on my own
I am filled with so much hatred
I cannot go on
I want it to end
But I don’t know where to begin

I am standing at the cross roads of life and death
Looking both ways as I take my last breath
I hear a voice
Giving me a choice
Which should I choose
I don’t know which to refuse

I see the road that gives me every worldly desire
The voice reveals to me what I can acquire
But he is a liar
 In the end it is consumed by fire

I see the road less traveled
It provides me my every need
Yes it does indeed
God’s Word is all I need
On it I will feed
I will hunger and thirst no more
As I did before
For I choose to believe
And Christ, I now receive
as my Lord and Savior
For he did me a favor
His life he gave
So that I may be saved
