It never ends
Stare into the abyss
Hours at a time
Gazing curiously into a vast infinite
nothingness.
Absorbed completely in the meaningless
becoming fearless
Jump right in,
it's a hell of a time.
Hours at a time
Days, months.
Lose track of
Someone stronger turns back,
the mind blocking out the darkness
like the calm blue sky
a beautiful veil cutting off the view
of the intense, ominous and powerful blackness,
all around us,
screaming, clawing, shaking us
from behind a majestic iron curtain.
I blink and embrace the light.
The calming dawn overcomes
Hours at a time

(In this first verse, you have made use of three separate tenses....seemingly an imperative, a present participle and a past participle....
My query thus: how many persons in that verse?)

I wanted sort of put the reader in my position. So you can read it as a journey of one man, or a journey of self. It could be me, you or anyone else! I'm kind of an amateur but I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Thanks for the feedback.
