A Girl Like Me.
Rally the peacemakers,
Control your tears,
This war will finish,
It will perish,
Just wait for the sign.
I have numerous battles,
To contend with,
Alcohol abuse,
And drugs that send me into a state,
Of euphoria.
I see tyrants,
Walk these streets,
People that think their kings and queens,
But are really imposters,
They anger the demon in me.
I can’t figure out why I’m having feelings,
For a girl like me,
I’m on thin dirt,
I’m sinking,
She’ll do anything to drink herself into oblivion.
So we are the same,
Angered and tortured,
Broken hearted,
Both venturing into a darker world,
Injecting nothing into happiness,
Cradling a bottle like a newborn.
Control your tears,
This war will finish,
It will perish,
Just wait for the sign.
I have numerous battles,
To contend with,
Alcohol abuse,
And drugs that send me into a state,
Of euphoria.
I see tyrants,
Walk these streets,
People that think their kings and queens,
But are really imposters,
They anger the demon in me.
I can’t figure out why I’m having feelings,
For a girl like me,
I’m on thin dirt,

So we are the same,
Angered and tortured,
Broken hearted,
Both venturing into a darker world,
Injecting nothing into happiness,
Cradling a bottle like a newborn.
