My sweet Valentine
my sweet valentine
will you always be mine
in sickness and health
through poverty and wealth
and all of life's situations
including hardships and tribulations
just know despite everything keeping us apart
you're the one who still has my heart
together lets face our problems and fears
with love lust laughter compassion and tears
cause our love and passionate embrace
will never be just a fleeting phase
and when our lips meet for a luscious kiss
it's always the most wonderful bliss
so to my sweetheart and valentine
I say I'm yours and ask
if you'll always be mine

Right on, well written my Friend, Only LOVE, can cause such feelings like these. Poverty and wealth, sickness an health, and Especialy the hardships and tribulations. More that hate, Love commands more feeling an emotion, an is also stronger an the harder road to keep an go down.
Thank you appreciating my poem. Love should not be taken for granted, and is the most special feeling in the world. It can be the glue that keeps people together when the going gets tough. Ideally anyways. :)

Totally reminds me of first hearing "My Funny Valentine". Many have taken a shot at it, but the versions I grew up on were by the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.
